00:30 I HIGHLY don’t recommend adding honorifics to fics featuring these guys. They are more than likely speaking an English-like language in universe. There’s plenty of evidence that points in that direction:

– In the opening, Azul’s contract has writing on it.
– In the manga, everyone signs Azul’s contract with the latin alphabet instead of Japanese Kanji. Only Yuuta (the protagonist) writes it the other way.
– Each year on the JP server, they have the boys send white day cards. They’re all written in perfect English.
– During the light novel, Crowley mentions that there’s a translation spell on campus, so everyone can understand one another. (There are plot holes with this. How does this account for the events when Yuu leaves campus?)
– All of the writing on the maps and such is in English.

Granted, there are inconsistencies like Vil being oddly persistent about Epel using Japanese polite speech, which doesn’t exist in English, but it does really point to these guys speaking English and being translated in Yuu’s head. If an English speaker was isekaied to that world, they would no problem understanding the language, since it would be all in English.

If somebody still wants to add those anyways, they can go for it and knock themselves out. But, it would come off as cringey and OOC, making everyone come off like a giant weeaboo, including characters like Vil and Malleus. Making them talk English speakers and dropping those would be more accurate.

Either way, this series is still interesting to see what they call each other in the original game. It’s a good basis to come up with more accurate nicknames for these guys than the official version.
