I have a speculation that Trey does this so people wouldn’t put expectations on him. Trey is the type of guy who wants to peacefully live their life without wanting to cause conflict and having to care about what other people think about him. He literally wants to pass through life the way he wants to and if downplaying himself allows him to achieve his desired lifestyle then he will do it. This makes him such a relatable guy❤

I’d assume him downplaying himself is due to him being the eldest child in his household. But he’s one of the VERY FEW characters with a high EQ ❤
