I think skully immediately knew he and we were from different timelines because of the nrc flag we made, surely the emblems/symbols and design of every dorm must’ve been changed over the years, so skully knew because in his timeline the dorms symbols might’ve been different and because of the magic pens.
Well, they say halloween is the time ghosts can come in the living world, and from what skully said about meeting on Halloween, i think he might just meant he’ll visit as a ghost on Halloween.

Now, I’m wondering, how in the world we ended up together? Like, someone from the past and someone from the future. It could be that the book, being the only original piece, both people from different timelines opened the book at the same time, creating parallels and got sucked in hence, meeting eachother, maybe the book isn’t time bound, it’s like, time doesn’t change anything about the book, maybe time doesn’t matter for whoever entered the book they’re bound to meet eachother whether from past or future.

So I finally get it So skully was stuck in the book then he couldn’t find a way out So Leona pushed into the exit with grim skully out the book and found the exit but then Crowley it found the frame skully which has been in the attic for a very long time if Leona didn’t push Skully then no one couldn’t find a frame picture of Skully.
